Robert Gatewood
Hello! It’s Robert Gatewood, Vice President of the Board for Greater Collinwood Development Corporation, and I’m speaking on our Board’s behalf about updates to the community at GCDC so far this summer.
In March, we completed a process to find support in doing a thorough and transparent search process for a new Executive Director. As such, we have partnered with Gladegy Consulting, LLC to work with us in leading and organizing this search. Additionally, they will also help us through a deep organizational assessment.
We know finding leadership that agrees with and supports our mission of engagement and community development is important, and by working with Gladegy we believe we will be best positioned to identify and interview the candidates that fit our needs and hopes for the future. The assessment process will inform the new leadership and our staff with all of the strengths we have to build on and identify the challenges we need to face to improve how we serve the Greater Collinwood service area.
By working with Gladegy, a team that has experience in working to find qualified and talented leaders, we feel confident in our ability to find the right candidate. Whether that’s within our team, or even outside our community, there will be a thorough and measured process to make sure we leave no stone unturned in selecting the next Executive Director.
In the near future, no matter your connection or relationship with GCDC, we will be looking to engage with YOU to learn your experiences, feelings, and hopes for Collinwood! Your input and feedback will prove essential for us to make sure you are represented equitably, and with Gladegy’s help we look forward to creating opportunities to hear from you directly. From surveys to focus groups, we will collect your feedback and it will guide how we move forward. Look out for these requests, in the Observer and other local channels!
